Prunus 'Accolade' is a graceful spreading cherry tree and will reach an estimated height and spread of 6 x 4 metres in about 20 years. It is one of the first Japanese cherries to flower the spring being covered in April, in a multitude of soft pink, semi-double flowers from deep pink buds in pendulous clusters. The flowers are quite large, measuring up to 4cm in diameter.
In the autumn the sof-green foliage turns attractive orange/yellow before falling. The tree can grow in full sun or semi shade and tolerates some exposure but dislikes soggy ground.
